Two roots, one name
Yaquesita comes from a name and a family. Her mother is 100% Yaqui — a nation whose roots run deep in the Sonoran Desert, in Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. Her father is Mexican. Yaquesita is the place those two lines meet: a brand built on Día de los Muertos calavera art and the marigold color of cempasúchil, worn as a tribute to the people who raised her.
This isn't a costume or a trend. The skeleton art, the papel picado, the marigold — these come from a real tradition of honoring ancestors, celebrating that death is part of life, and remembering the people who came before us. Every design starts there.
